I am delighted to provide you with further details of our final Year 10 Parent Consultation Evening of the year for your child, which will take place on Thursday 5th July from 4:00-6:00pm.
This evening will focus on Bachelor of Science (BSc) subjects. You will have the opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers for these lessons and discuss their achievement and progress this year, enabling you to support them in their studies going forward to year 11. We will also be able to share with you draft copies of the intervention, breakfast and period 7 timetable, so you are aware of all of the extra support that will be on offer from September.
Prior to the evening consultation event, during the afternoon of Thursday 5th July, your child will reflect on their achievements in year 10 and will graduate into year 11- receiving their new ties and end of year exam grades during a special celebration event. Your attendance at the evening consultation event will ensure you can discuss their final exam grades with myself and BSc subject tutors, ensuring your child is best equipped to achieve fantastic results in their final year of school.
The following day, on Friday 6th July, many students will be joining us on a residential to Whitemoor Lakes to support their revision of English, Maths and Science. If your child is attending, myself and our Vice Principal Mrs Lilley will be delivering short presentations about our trip, designed to give you further information about what your child will be doing and advice on things they should ensure they bring. This can be found in the Amethyst Theatre at 4:30pm and 5:00pm.
As always, if you are unable to attend the event but would like some feedback on your child’s progress, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email: ldooner@Aldersleyhigh.org.uk. Alternatively, please do look out for your child’s ROP4 which will be posted home if you are unable to attend the event.
