Year 7 Achievement Standards Leader – Miss Dunn
I’m Miss Dunn and my main role within school is working with year 7s as their Attainment and Standards Leader. I am excited to be working with the year group in their first year at Aldersley to ensure they make the best possible start on their journey through to year 11. I will be working closely with all pupils to track and monitor their progress and support them in their learning. I will be there to guide pupils on their journey whilst intervening when possible to ensure they achieve their goals. Pupils will take different pathways and I believe that through hard work, motivation and support all pupils can be successful.
Year 7 Head of Year – Miss Brown
My name is Miss Brown, I am the Year 7 Pastoral Manager. If students are to achieve within school, it is important that their safety and well-being are taken care of. I am responsible for ensuring that your child attends school regularly, in full uniform and follows the school conduct system to ensure that behaviour is conducive to learning.

Year 8 ASL and Head of Year – Miss Sandhu
My name is Miss Sandhu and I am both a proud Head of Year and ASL for Year 8. I look forward to working with Year 8 closely and providing a supportive and encouraging environment your child. I am particularly interested in inspiring Year 8 academically with focus on grades and improvement made throughout the year. In addition, I am also looking to fulfil my role as a Head of Year and have an open door policy for any pupil who may need help and guidance pastorally. Year 8 have produced some impressive work so far, particularly in subjects such as Maths and English. I hope for Year 8 to succeed and achieve throughout, demonstrating their true potential.

Year 9 ASL and HOY – Miss Perry
My name is Miss Perry, I am both the Year 9 Attainment and Standards Leader and Pastoral Head of Year for Year 9. I am very excited to continue to work closely with Year 9 this academic year after working with them last year when they were Year 8 students and watching their journey from Primary to Secondary education. Last year was a great year for this group of students, they excelled in every area! They achieved many sporting successes, had their work published, they sang, they danced, hey cooked, they took part in every aspect of school life and they always worked hard… I am eager to see what this academic year will bring. My job role is to both ensure that all students are feeling happy and safe in school as well as working to their full potential and continually challenging themselves.

Year 10 Achievement Standards Leader – Mrs Bond
My name is Mrs Bond and I am the Year 10 Attainment and Standards Leader, as well as being an English teacher. As part of my role, I will be: tracking and monitoring your child’s progress and attainment during their time at Aldersley; intervening where necessary; reporting grades or concerns home; offering academic support and guidance; and ensuring that an ethos of rewarding excellent effort is established. During this crucial time in your child’s education, it is my aim to support and equip them with the skills and resources that they need in order to be successful at GCSE and beyond- both academically and as rounded individuals. Year 10 Head of Year – Mr Taylor
Hi, I’m Mr Taylor and I am the Head of Year 10 Pastoral care. My role as Head of Year is varied and very challenging on a daily basis. Each day can be entirely different from the last, dealing with issues such as behaviour management and the day to day well-being of the students. The emotional and social development is my priority and this can be very rewarding when a positive outcome has been achieved when supporting the students. I will continue to strive to connect; nurture; support and build relationships during their educational pathway to success.

Year 11 Achievement Standards Leader – Miss Dooner
I’m Miss Dooner and I am very excited to be the Year 11 ASL, as well as being an English teacher here at Aldersley. Working alongside Mr Taylor, my job is to ensure that your child makes fantastic academic progress throughout this crucial school year and is well prepared for their GCSE examinations. I have lots of exciting plans in the pipeline: from university trips to inspirational speakers, employer talks and work experience days. I am determined to ensure that the year group work hard and are rewarded for the fantastic progress that they make. Year 11 Head of Year – Mrs Rogers
Hello my name is Mrs Roger’s and I’m the pastoral head of year 11. I work alongside Mr Pritchard and I’m also a teaching assistant at Aldersley. I support many of the students within the classroom and I’m available to all the students for emotional and behavioural support inside and outside of school whenever they need support or just to say hello. I will strive to make sure that the students have a happy and productive final year at Aldersley high school..

My name is Mr Pritchard and I am the Year 11 Pastoral Head of Year. My role as Head of Year is to ensure the students behavioural and emotional concerns are dealt with so they can access their academic studies fully. I work closely with Miss Dooner Attainment & Standard Leader for year 11 and together we ensure that the pupils needs are met academically and pastorally.

HI, I’m Mr Vanes Pastoral Head of Year for sixth form. My role as Head of Year is to ensure the safety and day to day well-being of students as well as dealing with all emotional and social concerns to ensure that they can succeed with their studies. I feel that I have a good relationship with our current sixth form students and will continue to support them through the remainder of their studies with us to help ensure they succeed in their next steps.
